The Fifth Annual McFarland Chocolate Fest will be held November 8, 2014, at the Madison Curling Club in McFarland from 7 to 9 PM.
Imagine an elegant evening of candlelight, pleasant music, champagne and all the dreamy chocolate desserts you could ever desire. There you have it – the McFarland Chocolate Fest! All proceeds of this marvelous affair benefit the historic Larson House in the heart of McFarland. See Video on You Tube. Thanks to those who are donating beverages and items for the silent auction. This is the major fund raiser keeping the Larson House Museum open for all to enjoy.
The best bakers in McFarland AND our featured baker, Chris Olson of Chris's Confections, will tempt us with their prized offerings where the major ingredient is CHOCOLATE!
The Chocolate Fest is held the first or second Saturday in November from 7 to 9 PM at the Curling Club, 4802 Marsh Road, McFarland. The silent auction tables are always very popular. Live music is provided by some talented musicians. Ankora coffee will be donated by the McFarland House Coffee Shop, apple cider by Door Creek Orchard. Coffee, cider and champagne and all the chocolate you can eat is free with your $15 ticket. Wine is available for purchase by the glass. Tickets are available at McFarland State Bank and Associated Bank in McFarland, and also at the door at the event.
A lovely ladies' mystic pink topaz and diamond pendant set in rose gold with 13 diamonds cascading down the curved bail on an 18 inch rose gold cable chain, and matching mystic pink topaz and diamond ring set in rose gold is being raffled this year. Appraised value from Chalmers Jewelers is $1,450. Second place raffle is a lovely Badger quilt signed by several Badger coaches worth $400 made by expert McFarland quilter Linda Hanson. Raffle tickets are $10 or three for $25. Tickets are on sale at McFarland State Bank and from Meg Nielsen (608-838-8274). The drawing will be held during Christmas in the Village on Dec. 6th at the Larson House Museum at 2 PM.
