Larson House History and Restoration

$15.00

This book is a comprehensive history of the Larson House, its owners through the years and how they lived in and loved this stately 1898 Victorian home.  It is the story of how the house came into disrepair and became a discouraging eyesore for the entire community.  Eventually, the McFarland Historical Society and hundreds of volunteers, contractors and generous donors rescued the house from total destruction and transformed it back to its original beauty.

The histories of prominent individuals and institutions that hang on the walls in the various rooms of the Larson House Museum are included. Many old black and white photographs and many new color photographs by professional photographer Sue Vick Finley grace the 50 page book.  Published in 2014 by the McFarland Historical Society.

Author Jane Licht also co-authored City of the Second Lake, a History of McFarland, Wisconsin.  Also available for sale at the McFarland Historical Society Museum and the Larson House Museum.

Proceeds for the Larson House Museum.
